What is Hypnotherapy?
When you enjoy a hypnotherapy experience you benefit from a deeply relaxed, yet mentally focused state. You remain in control the entire time. Your relaxed state makes you receptive to positive suggestion, creating abundant opportunity for positive growth and change.
The term “hypnosis” is derived from the Greek word “hypnos” meaning sleep. In reality you are awake, aware and enjoying a trance-like state similar to being involved in a good book or movie. The brain-wave patterns associated with hypnosis are similar to those produced during meditation.
What happens during a Hypnotherapy session?
The first session involves an intake interview, a short practice hypnosis session as well as a longer more targeted session. Sessions are individualized according to the way you learn, and according to the change you desire. Most people will accomplish their
goal in one to three sessions.
